DJJohal respects intellectual-property rights and responds to properly submitted copyright complaints. If you believe material available through this website infringes a copyright that you own or represent, send a written notice containing the information listed below.
Information required in a removal notice
- Your full legal name and, if applicable, the organization you represent.
- Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed. If one notice covers multiple works, provide a representative list.
- The exact DJJohal URL for every song, album or other item you want reviewed. A title alone is not enough to reliably locate content.
- Your mailing address, telephone number and email address.
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the disputed use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent or the law.
- A statement that the information in the notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act for the owner.
- Your physical or electronic signature.
Send your notice
Email a complete notice to [email protected]. Use a clear subject such as Copyright Removal Request. We aim to review complete requests promptly; many requests are reviewed within 48 hours, but complex cases can take longer.
Counter-notification
If your material was removed because of a mistake or misidentification, you may send a counter-notification. It should identify the removed material and its former location, include your contact details and signature, and contain the statements and consent required by the copyright law applicable to the notice. You may wish to obtain independent legal advice before filing.
Misrepresentations and repeat infringement
Knowingly making a material misrepresentation in a notice or counter-notification may create legal liability. DJJohal may restrict access for users who repeatedly infringe copyright where appropriate. Because the website can be accessed globally, we review notices under applicable law and the facts provided.
